The initial designs saw a struggle between the normal figure and the handheld version of a foam cutter. In order to decide, I created foam models of each to first find the ideal size for the tool, and analyze how they felt in the hand. The overall size of the models was extremely small, and the space to hold the tool was small also.
On the other hand, I was pleased with the next 4 models. Their overall form fits better in the hand than the smaller models, and the shapes of the models are more appealing to the eye. The blade guard on the far left model is one characteristic that stands out as successful, and I wanted to further include it in the next round of modeling.
