What if the classic game of chess was transformed into a battle of colors between our favorite sauces and toppings?
Color Exploration.
Using inspiration from Warhol and his famous "Campbell Soup" graphic, I wanted to base the colors of the chess pieces on the various combination of colors in his cans. Warhol used many strategies for his color choice, from complementary to monochromatic, and everything in between. Ultimately I decided on a battle warm and cool, similar to the light vs. dark atmosphere of the original chess set.
